  • Dying Tarantula?

I have a mature male lasiodora parahybana. As he is a mature male and has been now for some time, I'm presuming he does not have long to live? Lately, I have seen him in his tank and he looks like he has died. Some legs curled under his body etc. But he is still alive and this has been going a week now. I put some food in and he ate it. So I am confused, is he dying or is it something else?

    Thanks

Male L. parahybana can live a surprisingly long time once mature (I have known up to 2 years in some individuals). If your male is still eating and drinking it may last longer under ideal conditions.

      Male Parahybana

      Hi John,

I bought a male Parahybana in December 2002, he moulted out in August 2002. He looks a bit tatty but he is still going strong, dont give up on him, mine still gets all the tlc he wants. I would say he is at least 3 years old.
