Iv come across a deal of the century, well it seems so to me. My local shop has a Brachypelma Emilia (mexican red leg) and theyr asking for £60 for it, including the tank and set up. She, well im guessing its female coz it has one hell of a big round bum, was brought in by a customer so Im not sure how old she is, or much of her history, but she seems to be pretty healthy with no bald spots. I dont think she is fully mature coz she's a bit smaller than our last one. What i want to know is how quickly would any of you snap up that deal, and if you think its a good deal?

Sounds about the going rate assuming it is B. emilia and it is a female?!
If you think it's worth it, then pay. Simple.Guy...

Great Ts. I recently swapped one and I miss her, but my love for pokies took over
I'd suggest removing the cotton wool (if that's what it is) from the water bowl. No need to have it, it just becomes a breeding ground for bacteria. Whilst this is unlikely to cause an issue its potentially a problem if your T was to fall ill. A pebble in the water bowl to stop the crickets drowing is all thats required.

Its something that's often repeated in forums. I dare say those that use it rarely see any issue. However dormant bacteria will thrive if you give them cause to, so it seems a sensible precaution.
I'm not sure who came up with the idea of putting it in there, tarantula seem to fare well in the wild without pools of moist cotton wool

If i remember correctly it said on the packaging that it was useable for all inverts .. just wondering if cotton wool has been seen as a cheaper alternative??Don't forget to learn what you can, when you can, where you can.
