    aye, just had good look and the telsons that lighter brown colour indicating imperator

    P. imperator= telson a lighter colour (normally tan) than metasoma, heavily granulated outer face of chela, black colour overall (with blue tinge sometimes)

    P. cavimanus= telson the same colour (or as close as) as metasoma, ungranulated appearence to outer face of chela, overall more brown colour.
    ahh good to know i'm not too far off
    my possible cavimanus has a nice blue tinge in the sunlight, too...but defo not imperator either.

              haha i have no idea what that brown spider is...maybe Stuart will illuminate us! i did have a go, but he was looking and stopped me!

                any chance of pics of the runners up??? i didn't get a chance to look again, so i missed some of the competition!
                also, if i'm honest, i'd love to show off some of my other beauties that i entered via other people's picture taking skills

                  Sorry guys - I've had an incredibly hectic week and have been busy every night so far! I will make a big effort to post up some of the other photos I took on Saturday or Sunday.
                  Photos were, unfortunately, a little more rushed this year than usual!
