  • USB Digital Microscope 20x - 350x

    Hi all.

I bought one of these today at Lidl for £29.99. It's brilliant! Great value for money. I hope to use it to sex very small spiderlings. To put it to the ultimate test I looked for the smallest moult I had. Here is a photo of a 1cm Lasiodora parahybana spiderling skin. Click to enlarge.

I couldn't quite get it into a good enough position to find what I was looking for as it was so small, but I was quite impressed with the photo! The fangs look enormous. This photo was taken at 20x magnification. I'm still learning how to use it and couldn't get a closer image.

Just thought I would share this, I would highly recommend it!

Here are a couple more pics.

This is a leg of the same 1cm skin. You can see the tarsal claws. This was taken at 80x magnification.

      impressive, especially for the price.
I'm keen on getting a microscope. Am I right in thinking the digital bit allows for images to be taken?

Yep it plugs straight into the pc or laptop and all images are only seen on the screen

But, now we need to know the manufacturer's name and the model name or number. Also maybe a photo of the hardware itself. The photo you show us is phenomenal!

Yes it has a camera. The microscope only has 3 magnification setttings. 20x, 80x and 350x. You can adjust the lighting too. It comes with tweezers, slides, dust cover, the works. I would highly recommend!

I'm scanning the box and can't seem to find a model number. Most of it is in German. There is a website - www.bresser.de - but I can't find the model I have on it anywhere.

OK, found something that resembles a model number at the back of the user manual.
