Can someone please let me know if these need different conditions to tranks please? I have bought 2 today, hopefully 1 of each gender. Never seen any before and neither has the dealer that they came from, he thinks that they are Australian, the proper name is, Leucorchestris alexandrina or setifrons according to his list. I also had a solifugid, last one lived for a week!!

    thanks, Mary Walters

    Hi Mary,

cant say I know how to keep them but they are listed as being from Angola and not Australia.

    Leucorchestris alexandrina: Lawrence 1966: Angola

solifugid's are really hard to keep alive in captivity. My husband saw a lot of small ones in Iraq when he went. I cant give you any tips other than they like it really really dry. Good luck.x

        white lady wandering spider

        Hi Layla and Ray,
The white lady is from Egypt, wild caught, my mistake!
They are really colourful, we got photo's but don't know how to post them! This Solifugid is only a small one and it appears to have eaten all 6 crickets I gave it last night, and it's lively, keep you posted.

        Thanks, Mary.
