  • Ephobupos uatuman burrow turrets (pic heavy)

    Took a few photos of the burrow turrets of my 2 Eubophus uatuman today and though i'd share them. I just threw in a handful of dried Oak leaves and left them to it, checked on them a few days later and the turret's were complete.



















    Notice the slight webbing over entrance, spider hasnt eaten for a few weeks so suspect a moult is coming up.










    The E murinus are smaller, so are in smaller containers. They also made their turrets over a period of a few days

      Good idea Peter, indeed happy invisible spiders!

      Maybe pre-dry the leaves for a few days to [mostly] get rid of small unwelcome insects, etc

      The tube definitely increases their killing-zone while remaining safely hidden.

        I collected the leaves about 3 years ago and they have have been kept dry in the loft ever since
