Not a good day, well part of it anyway

Went to Kempton today, not really impressed with the selection on offer but got a few odds and sods that i was after, one of which was a Nhandu coloratovillosus.
On the way home it moulted and its a male . . . not impressed


On the good side of the day i got a mixture of slings and juv's.

5 x Brachypelma smithi
5 x Stromatopelma calceatum
5 x Poecilotheria regalis
4 x Lasiodora klugi
2 x Chilobrachys fimbriatus
2 x Sericopelma sp "Santa Catalina" (Panama)
1 x Brachy auratum
1 x Phlogiellus sp. "Goliath"
1 x Nhandu coloratovillosus
1 x Scolopendra subspinipes 6in

Not sure if its due to the recent warm weather but I had a few molts today as well so thought i might as well sex them as i had the microscope out for the N. coloratovillosus moult.

Also had a Grammostola pulchripes moult that i got from TSS about a month ago . . . into a MM

I had another 9 moults but as they were all slings i didnt bother trying to sex them.

So I've had a bit of a mixture today, dont know whether to laugh or cry

I wasnt overly impressed with the selection tbh but came back with:
P.smithi juvi
P.rufilata juvi
B.albopilosum juvi male
Sphodromantis sp Chameleon village adult pair
T.gigas MM on loan
S.calceatum sling

Remember males are always needed especially N.colloratovillosus

Well I'm jealous, you lot got loads of nice shiny new T's and there doesn't seem to be anything similar held in the north-east

You should definitely try and come to the BTS its the best show imo.

i only picked up 3 little critters...a Scolopendra cingulata and Chaerilus celebensis from Bugz Uk and a Japanese Uropygid from Martin Goss. was a short but great day as i got to see a few people (though missed you Pete and Selina) and see some nice stuff.
