Heres a news article
Like many people here, i know that newspapers rarely get any facts right. However, whatever the underlying truth, this sounds to be totally unsustainable. I suggest some education and support to prevent further or even total species extinction is urgently needed, as they seem clearly on the path to that unless something is done.
I would be interested in support to help prevent that, especially any asian members/readers.
I was especially intrigued to read this part.
"Meanwhile the Skoun Spider Sanctuary, which was originally set up to breed spiders to restock the area, has been shut according to the founder, a London businessman Martin Leighfield, who is gearing up to re-open at the end of this year if he can find interest among his London-based business circle."
Does anyone know him or anything about this? i'd say if no-one at the BTS ever heard about this, then im not surprised his attempts are failing. He sounds like someone that i hope many of us are willing to support or help though.
