  • Odd waxworm related incident

Well I bought some waxworms t'other day and fed my spiders. My l. parybahna and Avic gobbled them up. Today I go to feed them again, and they both have the same reaction...they go to attack, lay one toe on the worm then promptly jump back (never seen my avic move so quick) they then both tried again, jumped back and then retreated to a safe distance........anyone know whats going on here? I put one in with my B. boehemi and he ignored it and it burrowed so im a bit worried that if they have developed spider poison he may be in trouble!

And my B.boehemi is now sitting there with a very dead waxworm in his mouth!

I don't get it! I wonder if I feed him another tomorrow he will act like the others? Perhaps they dont particulary like the taste
