  • Sad and unexpected death

After arriving home from work tonight ive found my A.Juruensis dead. Apparently it began the moulting process but simply failed to moult! I first saw a Picture of this Tarantula inside the cover of the Tarantula Keepers Guide first edition. It really caught my eye, however i struggled in the following years to get hold of one. Im not at all happy. If anyone on the forum breeds these or has one for sale could you please get in touch. No time wasting, money is waiting!

Is it a gene that "switches" on prompting the growth of the new exoskeleton? Does the old skeleton seperate by mechanical means? What fails within the Tarantula to prevent it from moulting? She was in a position inside her retreat, with legs tucked in, looking like the carapace was just about to break open. Oddly one leg was sticking straight out.

    Thanks
