  • g.pulchura sling problem (possibly)

Hiya there I have kept T's for some time now (2 years) and I am used to how they will react pre-molt and post, but there is one exception i have had this g.pulchra for 4 months, he is about 3-4 cm and he has not molted in the whole time i have had him, but he is showing the sign's, he has A darkened patch on his abdomen and has kept his weight (no shrinking of the abdomen) but this little guy has not eaten for 2 of these 4 months.

I know this can be normal for species with a slower metabolism but such a small sling holding in for so long is starting to worry me as he has blocked up his entrance and won even accept dead food, I would love it if some one has an idea or experience in this situation.

    Many thanks

My Pulchra sling is about 4cm and its been this size for over two years and not moulted once, These spiders have a mind of their own and they moult when they feel like it. I'm beyond worrying now, Spider is fine and so is yours most likely.

      Totally normal for this species.
