advice needed

my mexican red leg is about 2ins it never leaves the side of hie enclosure just sits on the side of the glass.I have a substrate which is ecco earth which is now very dry because having trouble misting the enclosure with him never going in his hide .Will it harm him if he gets wet when misting i am new to tarantulas so any advice would be great.THANKS

you dont need to mist the red leg just use a bottle top for the water also the earth needs to be dry
