Hi Everyone,
I seeking some advice on my T.blondi. I've owned her since she was a spiderling and she is now 2 years old.
She always been a model spider, quite happy sitting by the entrance to her tunnel waiting for lunch to wander by. A couple of months ago she became unsettled and started to wander and spend her days curled up in the corner of her tank. She was still feeding and had a good sized abdomen relative to her leg span. I couldn't decide what the problem was, temperature 80 humidity 80 so decided on a complete tank clean out new substrate(vermiculite and course grit as before.)
Despite the new set up she continued to try to escape/wander and now seems slow and has lost weight and looks weak and uncoordinated when walking. She has eaten 5 adult deaths head roaches in the last couple of months, the last was 3 weeks ago, despite this she has failed to gain weight since her last moult.
I've kept a few spiders for the last 25years and had the odd unexplained death, I really don't want to loose her, she's a beauty.
Any suggestions are really appreciated.
Danny.
