Someone on the ATS forum dubbed the phenomenon "The Molt-a-Rama" many years ago. It's just that time of the year. Wait until your collection numbers over 1,000 tarantulas. There were days when we'd have 6 or 8 molting all at once!

1000's wow I only have 16 and plan to have a lot more once I've finish my shelving unit or units lol

During the moulting process steroidal hormones (ecdysone) are given off and these can trigger the moulting of tarantula in the same vicinity.

I've had several dozen moult in the last few days, mostly all around the same size.
