  • upright molt concern.

    hi all i got home from work tonight to find my b smithi molting upright will she be ok as i've never seen this before. i thought she should be on her back to molt.

    There is absolutely nothing you can do about it so just keep your fingers crossed that it all turns out OK.

      hi pete just popped in to check on her and she's managed the molt . she was on her side just getting the last of her legs out so i just sat and watched the last half hour of the molt and she's fine. thanks for your quick reply pete.

        It's not really common, but neither is it terribly rare. Almost surely nothing bad will hapen. JUST DON'T TOUCH OR TRY TO MOVE THE TARANTULA.

        In fact, maybe you'd profit by backing up the webtree a few branches and reading the entire Spiders, Calgary website.
