Season/Best time to acquire new T's

Hello,

I was just browsing a few tarantula based website shops and I was wondering:

Is there a particular season/time of year that is best to start looking/acquiring T's?

I've noticed that there is a distinct lack of tarantula species around at this time of year - except that Grammostola rosea still seems to be going strong throughout the year.

Hello Julia. The reason why is, in my opinion, because it's more risky to send by post (or to travel with) a tarantula when the weather is cold. If there is a delay or anything, it might be dangerous for the T. But otherwise, you can look and acquire a T anytime of year... if not by post !
