GBB in death curl?

Hi everyone, my GBB likes to climb upside down and yesterday he fell from the top of his enclosure (about 4 inches) he had eaten the day before but isn't overly fat so I didn't worry too much however today he appears to be going into the death curl, not sure if I am overreacting but if someone with more practice could tell me if this is what he is doing I would be so grateful. pictures attached. I also checked the abdomen it seems to be fine

He definitely is fat! If he fell and is not moving, it is probably dehydrated. Tarantulas+Hydrated=Energy. Everybody tends to feed a tarantula enough but not necessarily hydrate them.
