    Hi guys,

    Tonights' episode "The Silk Spinners"
David Attenborough seems to have strayed into a Christmas grotto or onto the set of a Harry Potter movie this week. But in fact he's in a New Zealand cave, where thousands of glow-worms have spun and hung luminescent threads from the ceiling to attract passing moths and flies. It's the first of a stream of wondrous sights featuring silk-spinning invertebrates. There's speeded-up film of spiders spinning intricate webs, footage of a web big enough to catch small birds, an army of tiny spiders draping trees in what could be candyfloss to catch their prey, and baby spiders shooting out gossamer threads like some kind of laser weapon. The photography is as astounding as ever, although the intimate footage of a pair of spiders mating might be a bit too up close and personal for some.
Definately worth a watch in my opinion.
