  • Some Scorpion Pictures

    I thought I'd post a few a pictures of my collection here to show off some other arachnids:

    Lychas sp. from Indonesia:


    Compsobuthus werneri werneri, mating couple


    Compsobuthus carmelitis, adult male:


    Odontorus dentatus, sub-adult:

    Fantastic pictures and nice to see scorpions, a species that can be somewhat over looked in comparison to tarantulas. Then I would never know many may keep scorpions but dont talk about them as much.
    I dont suppose you breed scorpions do you? If so you should submit articles to the journal. Do you have any scorpling for sale at the moment there were some great colours in them.

        The Compsobuthus carmelitis and Tityus paraensis in particular are stunners, the latter has a really evil appearance.

          Oh very nice,especially the first one!
          Is that the natural colour of Compsobuthus carmelitis or is it recently molted?
          My Collection: - Spiders are everywhere, so live with it

            Thanks all. Yes that's the adult colouration of C. carmelitis (about 90% sure on the ID), its particularly spectacular, unfortunately I've never had the oppurtunity to breed it.
