Hi barry, I like the housing you're using, basically for Poecilotherias it's the same as Avics. Also the aureostriata looks great! I've stuck a few pictures of how I keep my pokes on here as requested, hope this helps.

First this is what I keep them in as babies. The pot is about 4cm by 6cm high and at the moment this one has a Heteroscodra maculata in it.

When they get a bit bigger I put them in something like this

Then at about 6-7cm, they go into the adult tanks (45cm long by 37.5cm high by 30cm deep).

For the really big pokes, like ornata and rufilata something like this

In the previous posts it was mentioned about pokes building 'nests' at the base of cork bark. here's a P. ornata and a P. formosa as examples

Poecilotherias also like living in cork bark tubes

Sometimes a poecilotheria will incorperate the whole bark slab into a home. Here's one of my P. formosas as example

Thank you Barry, nice T's and good to see the set-up's people use. It's good for the newer persons to T's to see examples of how to house....
Also like the fact that you have the same 2 books as lid weights as I use.... On your first pic, the housing on the left (small box with side slide): I've looked at these to buy, are they any good???? Can't decide if the lift up side on that size tank is more of a pain...ie escapes during feed time with the small/med cricks?!?
Looking forward to seeing your new arrivals.

Also thank you Nicola. As above, it is nice for the newer T keepers (and I guess the rest of us!! ) to be presented with ideas and suggestions of tank set-up....especially with the mass silk producing arboreals.

Thanxs for the pics, helps alot i was thinking about getting the big size tank like the one in your pic for a group of pokies.

The smaller tank i bought a while to house the G Aureo when it was a baby then used it all others that needed bigger home when out of the plastic jars. got a V Roseus currently digging holes and moving the substrate about blocking the door, Never had a problem with escapes i tend to put the shelter at back and bowl at front( cap lid 35mm). When i used to breed Oriental fire bellied toads, used to keep them in a small tank like this ( babies) never had problem there either.

Still waiting for the A.Avic to web up in new tank, changed the decor this week as nothing happening. Yet the Versicolor settled straight in to his/hers.

Will post more pics as i go.

I have also been putting them on my pages as well as trying to get info for them and filling in when i can.
