    Hi! just thought I'd post some new pictures of the strange behavious of these spiders of mine. I have two Brachypelmas (amongst other things) and noted recently some wierd behaviour on the part of my baumgarteni.Sorry about the picture quality, I had to take these from outside the petpal.
    First, having caught a cricket, she takes it over to her water bowl


    Not content with this, she decides to web over the surface of the water, just to make sure the cricket doesn't fall in and get soggy!


    Then she hoists herself up over the bowl and eats on tip-toe!!


    Not content, she checks the bowl and webs again before leaving


    Why can't I please have just one "normal" tarantula?

    All my tarantulas eat there food over the water bowl or the place where i just watered. Dont know why ...?!? i think they just copy each other...lol

      Lol,i just had to look! My G.rosea sometimes webs up for no apparent reason when feeding,i'm like,what are you doing?

        Lol, I love the eccentricity of tarantulas. You'll have many happy years watching her do weird things.
