Can there be a more beautiful tarantula than my freshly moulted B annitha?

Other than perhaps my P metallica

Just had to brag! They both mine , the B annitha is a very large female and the P metallica is about 9cm juvie female.

Your annitha looks like a smithi to me. Hasn't got the carapace markings of an annitha?

    Beautiful metallica

I have often wondered about that. But she definately looks different to a smithi when she's past her fresh moult Can anyone give me the definitive differences between smithi & annitha. This one is quite a bit bigger than any smithi I have seen and has on overall hairier and more orange/yellow look

Compare your 'annitha' to this annitha.

Then compare it to a smithi

Beautiful spiders. But I agree with Rebecca too I'm afraid, that looks like a B.Smithi to me....still a very pretty specimen though. (B.Baumgarteni is also another similar looking critter when the carapace are compared.)

@ Rebecca & Louise, I finally got good spermathecae pics of my supposed B annitha and as far as I can tell, it does indeed look like she is B annitha after all. Can anyone please confirm this for me?

The first pic is from the opisthosoma side and the second from the prosoma side.....
