      Looks like an excellent way to flood the bottom substrate without making the surface wet?
      They've got oour names! It's the pris'n hoose for us!

        It's a false bottom set up.
        It keeps the sustrate a little moist so no water bowl needed.

                Nice pics
                Just one question is that a true plumipes the abdomen looks a little different but is hard to tell from that angle

                      Yeah true plumipes was originally discovered south of Townsville and has a much more tapered abdomen with very dense setation around the spinnerets.

                        I am hereing that the northerns may (and I mean just maybee at this stage) be a distinct new species.
                        Will have to wait and see.
