My most recent pairing. The male was introduced and ventured straight down the females burrow and lured her out. They mated at the entrance and once finished, the female scuttled away back down her burrow. The male followed and didn't surface for 2 days! I was almost certain he had been eaten, especially when the female webbed up the entrance. But he emerged 48 hours later in perfect health. I hope the time they spent together was put to good use!

Nice one, thats what i consider a "text book mating".
It's a bit worrying when you see the little guy just casually wander down the burrow that usually contains the spawn of satan though eh?Don't forget to learn what you can, when you can, where you can.

Thanks Neil.
During my most recent pairing, the male took a matter of minutes to make his move. Other times I have waited a hour. Once even 2 hours before removing the uninterested male. My T room is nice and quiet away from the kids and has very dim lighting which I think helps. On nights when I decide to pair them, I just sit up there quietly reading while I wait for him to make his move.
Good luck, Jamie.My Collection:

i'm sure i've heard of male lividums living with females for a while!
they're pretty tolerant of each other given how intolerant they are of us! haha
nice mating, and glad you got a sac!Returning violence for violence multiplies violence, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars... Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that.
