    Congratulations you have some nice spiders there



    I'm curious though, do you know exactly where your Avicularia versicolor or its parents were caught ? If not then it is just a normal hobby type versicolor and not a 'Red form'

    The A versicolor in the hobby today are a mixture of all the island forms ( Martinique, Dominica, Guadalupe)

    Many years ago there were 2 variations available, large and small.
    Small form - overall body colour purple
    Large form - overall body colour red

    Unfortunately many people over the years have bred the two types together and so the versicolor generally available today are basically a hybrid of the various island forms. . . . have you read >>> THIS ?<<<
