Now that's really interesting. I have been trying to find a way to get rid of these guys and I was in fact planning on buying some slaters to keep the tank tidy. It would seem these guys are doing the job already and they didn't cost me a penny! I may just leave them where they are. Does anyone else use these guys as live in housemaids?

It worked for me and was a 10 minute job instead of replacing the whole substrate which would take longer and be far messier!!
