  • The Prodigal Son Returns...

    Hello folks,

It's been a while but I hope to come to the exhibition on Sunday. I no longer have any spiders but that won't last forever I can assure you. I am bursting to get my 'first tarantula' again but I don't know when that will be. I still have my fine collection of books and the continued fascination with our beautiful friends.
This site looks better than ever and I am amazed how Mark designs the pages but it is superb. I hope to say hello to some of you at the show if I get there. I don't have a table so queueing in the rain will be a return to my early days. Hey, that's what it's all about.
I am sure it will be as successful as it ever was with Ray and Angela at the helm.

    Carl

Thought for the day: Know everything about something and something about everything.

Welcome back, see you on sunday!
And he piled upon the whale's white hump, the sum of all the rage and hate felt by his whole race. If his chest had been a cannon, he would have shot his heart upon it.

                    The prodigal son returns,

Well, how nice of everyone. Thank you. I shall bring some books with me of course - I still have a few left (!) and I look forward to seeing you all. Ray - I know you are busy on the day - but a coffee would be nice.

If you need some table space for the books i am sure i can sort you out a few cms worth,

BTW for those of you who do not know what book we are talkign about:

"Fangs for the Memory", spider hunting in Ecuador, gives a great insight into into the breeding seasons and a few of the species oftheraphosid in Ecuador such as A. purpurea, M. velvetosoma etc and it is very funny in places. Well worth getting as this will be one of those books that will only be avalaiable on ebay at high price in a few years time, so also a nice we investment.

Yea a coffee would be very nice............or do you mean the other one LOL

Hi Carl, it seems your reputation precedes you.
Now i know which book it is we're talking about (thanks Ray), a copy might just find it's way on my shelf.

                          Carl,
How can those of us in the United States get a copy of your book? I've been wanting it for a long time.

Be a nice addition to the spider book library

I have something for you also on the day of the BTS expo on Sunday. The adult female Thrixopelma Prurien I didnt receive any pms through the T store not from the looks of the inbox anyway and presumed you were busy so figured id hand it to you at the show. She looks like she could moult in next few weeks either that or spinning small mats of web for the hell of it lol. She is not one who likes to be placed in smaller tubs from her tank so may be a case of scooping her up with some of the substrate as opposed to having paper towel.
