I wish you had done as i said earlier and left her alone....like totally alone but it seems as if you've been playing around with her non stop.

Sure, theres no way of knowing whether she would have pulled through if she had been left alone but theres no doubt about it, your continuing interference has done her absolutely no good at all...

I don't mean to sound harsh Niel but i sincerly hope that when it's over you'll have learnt something from the experience.

Neil, its not your fault mate. She may already have been gone by now if it hadnt been for your care. Who knows. Sadly the postage was at fault not you.

Sorry but i think this is a bit harsh. Neil has had nothing but the spiders best interests at heart. And personally i think doing what you said would probably of made her worse... Leaving her alone to get on with it and probably die, whereas Neil has got her to this stage so he must of been doing something right!

Neil don't take it to heart. You've done the best you can for her. I have everything crossed for you and her mate.. Lets hope she's in pre-moult and will right herself soon.

I didn't expect you to be happy Niel...no one likes being told off, but from the time i mentioned that it was probably best that you should leave her alone until now you've mentioned plenty of times how you've just done this and just done that...i'm not just talking about the immediate future when i say "interfering with her". Every time you interfered with her, you stressed her and in her condition that was the absolute last thing she needed....Thats the truth of it.

If you'd rather hear la la la la followed by a pat on the back then thats fair enough but i prefer dealing in a more realistic fashion....as i'm sure many others do to.

Your crystal ball is no better than mine Rebecca, besides my initial comment to Niel was AFTER he had tried to deal with her injuries..Of course you try to help but you also have to be realistic and be able to judge when you are helping and when you are hindering and act accordingly...Being "loved to death" is a term we are all familiar with and can REALLY happen!!.

In my opinion Niel should have left her in peace after his initial treatment but he hasn't....read back through the posting, not just the update but also the original.
I know Niel has been very worried about her and he tried to help her as best he could but the truth is the damage is extensive as could be seen allready in Niels first posting and chance of her pulling through were reasonably slim from the start..

So what i am saying is NO...it's not Niels fault (and i didn't blame him in my first post!) but that Niels general over fussing has not been to his blondi's advantage.

If you want to blame anyone then blame the person that sent that spider through the post.

Sorry everyone , fell asleep at 4am ish and only woke up not long ago

Well........ she started to move her legs a bit at about 3.30 am so i got ready to watch her ..... and fell asleep !!!

I checked on her as soon as i woke and guess what , shes is still only doing what she was doing when i fell asleep !!!!!!!!!!!!

All that is happening is that she is flexing her legs a bit , thats all !!!!! , surely it doesnt take this long ?

I think her carapace has popped but its hard to see , i dont know what to say really , is she stuck ? , or does it really take this long ?

well maybe due to the injury, she's a bit short on energy...maybe that's why it's taking longer. fingers still crossed!
