  • Newark!

    Hi to everyone!
I had such a great time at Newark today, the time (and money!) was well spent.
It was lovely to meet the people behind the posts from this forum. Oli...you should have brought a plastic sword with you, Colin...that elven cloak let you down, and: *wot no lines??* James...I really enjoyed meeting you, I hope your new purchases are settling well and thanks for pointing people out. Yvonne...good to see you, no matter how briefly...Mary I really enjoyed hearing about your collection....and RAY...my hero! lol And if I've forgotten names of others...it's just down to tiredness...you're all great.

    I came home with...ooops...6 B.Auratum, 3 G.Aureostriata, 2 Grammostola Sp. *North*, 3 A.Geniculata, 5 N.Coloratovillosus...errr...and quite a few others! LOL So a big thanks to all the lovely spidey traders...Sonny is a real star.

Hope everyone has got home safely, and I'll look forwards to seeing you at another meet up.

    XxX

Well i know that myself and Toren got home safely (a wonder with my driving).

Have just finished "re-potting" all my purchases (including a little cambridgei that decided to take up residence in my hair whilst transfering it...they're a little bit on the quick side Mary !!!!)

I'm just wondering whether they let James on the train with his little zoo.

Nice to see old faces and new.

Ray G, I will email you direct with the geographic location for the 1988 Avic. sp

I arrived back in good time, and got all of my little friends comfortable...thankfully I didn't get a dose of *hair spiders*. I bet James had fun getting his *new kids* home...and I wonder how many people dared try to peek at what was in the boxes!

Cheers people are laughing at me all the time LOL

Male seems OK went to do first aid and he was up on his tarsus walking about so i think i will give him a few days to harden up then coat him with icing sugar.

For those who did not know, i had a suispider today, a freshley moulted Xeneshis went to flick hairs and the spines on his back legs ripped the abdominal skin, but as i said he seems to be OK now.

            Cheers for asking

            Ray

I'll keep everything crossed that he continues to mend, at least he's in good hands.

Well I finally dropped him off after many wrong directions and 2 hours late... He got to the train station at 9.52pm with the last train leaving at 10.00pm and he still had to buy the ticket...
I hope he got home ok, we had a really in depth chat and a good laugh in the car lol.
Really cool guy. Was nice to meet all of you and Ray, those spids you and Lee had were awesome, so much variety my eyes started bleeding! Pity I could only afford the 1 P. Pederseni from you!
And Louise, I'll bring a sword with me next time and we shall fight it out!
Excellent day, s*** weather and 8 hours driving with 2 hours sleep- was it worth it? Hell yes...

Oli...good to know you're home safely ...I always worry for people if they're driving with sleep deprivation. I hope James got back too...man, that sounds like a fine line to catch the train, fingers crossed.

Pah...your plastic sword will be useless aganst my micro light sabre...I hope! LOL

Are you going to offer your pokie some food tonight? My new friends are all munching like pigs...they settle so quickly.

Anyways...heading for bed I am, much sleep I am needing!
