£3 each ? At my local ASDA they are priced at £2.50 but ALWAYS at the checkout they are £1.93

any sign of mould and remove it immediately
Can i ask why it needs removing ?
All the mold is doing is showing that the substrate is possibly too damp and/or more ventalation is needed.
I have never heard of any species of mold that will hunt down and eat healthy active and live spiders
Having mold in a tank isnt the end of the world for the spider, it may look nasty to us but it isnt going to do any harm to the tank or its inhabitant.

although i partially agree, I partially disagree with this statement too. A high amount of mould spores in the air is not good for any humans lungs and I am presuming it will be the same for spiders. It will not kill them but I can't imagine it beeing ideal either, unless my assumption here is wrong.
I would consider a high amount to be at least 1/4 of the tank covered in mould and I would advise any1 to clean their tank if that were the case (lower humidity of course to prevent also) for the spiders sake but also for yours. The mould spores will just spread into your house!

The health risks involved with mold spores are hardly known about but it will get more media attention very soon I guarantee it. Have a read through this article:
Surely your bathroom is fungus-free once you've wiped the mould off the tiles? Not according to a study by French scientists in the Royal Society of Chemistry's Journal of Environmental Monitoring.

I am know that spider lungs are definately made and work differently than mammals. Which is why you can seal a spider in a small airtight container for days without the spider coming to any harm.

Its 03.45 and my eyes are falling out of my head, I'll try and find some info on how spiders lungs work tomorrow .... er ... today, if i can find the time.
