I got what I went for and then some.

Big adult female G. aureostriata from a guy called Tony off Arachnophiles, don't know if he comes here but if he does, thank you Tony she's lovely!!
5 P. regalis slings to start my first communal setup
    P. irminia sling, H. maculata sling (thank you Mary!)
    A. geniculata sling
Juvenile G. pulchra which, having had a good look ventrally once I got home, I am 95% sure is female, which is awesome
And a mystery T which my housemate bought me and I have yet to figure out the ID of. But it's very cute and calm with a heart shaped mirror patch.

My housemate went aiming to get a G. pulchra and managed to get a subadult female straight after walking through the door so he is well happy. Didn't see any GBBs tho, they must have been snapped up really quickly, I probably would have got one if I'd seen them.

                      BTS show/Birthday Spider

T'was my birthday last Monday (thanks for the 'best wishes' from those on FB!) and by shear good fortune I was delighted with a cheque from my mother-in-law as I was late getting my 'list' in this year. Armed with said cash, off husband and I trundled to the BTS show, accompanied by our 'accomodation' for the weekend (who were very good about being dragged along to look at spiders).

I returned with a lovely G.rosea, RCF that I have named Tallulah. I wasn't especially looking for another G.rosea (like Ruby, my first and previously only T) but this one looked so sweet and was about the same size as Ruby, thus no need (yet) to purchase mulitple-sized prey items.

I moved her in this morning, after letting the substrate dry out a bit by the radiator last night, and she just very clamly stepped in, and sat quite content in the corner. I am at work now, so am missing her settling in, but that is probably for the best!! I hope she gets on well with Ruby as a neighbour!! It is nice having the tanks side-by-side as you can really appreciate the colour difference.

So, there we go, No. of T's up to 2, both G.rosea but a blonde and a red-head!

Congratulations, I think G. rosea are massively understated spiders. Lots of people seem to disregard them just because they are common and seen as 'beginners' Ts. But I think they are lovely, and the RCFs are in my opinion one of the best looking spiders around!

My first and definitely not my last, a great experience although quite a busy one. Helping Peter Roach turned into quite a job but I really enjoyed it and it was great to talk to so many people about our hobby, some of whom I know from forums some I have no idea. I enjoyed the fact that both Ray Hale and Andrew Smith took the time to visit the stalls and chat but regret not introducing myself to Mark P til the end, Kim looked rather perplexed at my Hi Bye greeting It was good to see so many kids too, Louise your little girl is lovely (and so is your older girl, eXtRa Strrrrrong mInTs). The kids that came to the stall were given renditions of Boehmei Rhapsody or this spider is "Grease Lighting", I think I enjoyed that more than they did!
Not enough time to search out what I wanted but I came back with:
                                6 custom aquaria tanks
                                10 petpals
lovely bit of cork tubing and a heat mat
                                Andrew Smith DVD
                                P. fasciata 4" (thanks Peter)
                                P. striata 6"
                                H. maculata x3 (thanks Mary)
Cyriopagopus schioedtei x2 (there you go Sylvi, thanks Andy)
                                A. avic - Fiona (thanks Mary)
                                M. robustum
                                N. chromatus
                                G. aureostriatum
                                G. rosea RCF (thanks Colin)
                                A. versicolor x40
                                P. murinus (OMG! an OBT!)
                                T. aridifolia sinensis mantids x ? (thanks Anthony)
Indonesian stick insects (can't remember the scientific name) x 2

Tom, was you one of the Brummie lads that came up to our stall, talking about the L. klugi which seemed to be our show T for the day.

Can we do it all again next week?
