Was great show, first as a non trader and its a bit daunting being in the rush and not hiding behind a table! Was great seeing everyone again and meeting new friends. Got back at 3.30 this morning and am a lil bit tired!
Well done to all the BTS team for organising a great day. Still amused by the geegee in the field
Congrats to my hubby for getting Best African and Best Asian terrestrial. I still reckon the latter should have gone to me :P LBJ's rule
I thought the lecture was amazing, favourite genus! Very useful info re. breeding and bought the DVD of course...bargain!!
Ray...I wonder if that was the 2 minatrix I was eyeing up, they were cute!

      More Expo Appreciation!

Well...I got home...feet in absolute agony from teetering around in high heels, unpacked all of my new acquisitions which took me til gone 2am and then had to fall into my bed with sheer exhaustion!

So now, with a clear head I can write up my wholehearted enjoyment of the main event!

Many many many thanks to Ray, Angela, Mark, Kim and the committee for running the Society that gives us so much pleasure. The Expo was amazing, and I so enjoyed meeting the wonderful people who were behind the making of such a fantastic Expo. The tables were well arranged to give space for all to move about safely, the traders were all amazing...especially *Magic Mary The Guru Walters* who I love to bits (thanks so much for my goodies box!), and I really enjoyed having a good haggle and winning myself some more spids! So whilst there seemed to be many folks around, the event had been planned so carefully that it never felt claustrophobic, and there was a really lovely atmosphere.
For me it just enhances the positive reasons for why people should get signed up and join the BTS if they haven't already. So again...thank you so much for the efforts, the stresses and everything that you put into the BTS Expo 2008, you're all more than worth your weight in gold, and some!

I loved all the hugs from those who I managed to catch up with, and massive thanks to all those who helped raise money for Cancer Research by donating to my *Drool Bucket*!! I can only say, even if I only saw you briefly, thanks for taking the time to stop and say *hi*...this goes especially to Sylvi who said hi and brought me a lil birthday present while I was renewing my membership at the BTS stand. Thanks so much!!

So to all my awesome friends, and the wonderful BTS team...it was a great day, and I can't wait to see you all again.

      *** Also***
Big thanks to Ray Gabriel re: the Pamphobeteus!! You're one in a million, and thanks for helping me to find a male!!
Thanks to Lance for the amazing Genic female and the slings...all eating well and settled quickly.
Peter Lacey...for just being such a good laugh and a fellow *huggy*.
Howard...thanks for bringing my Leetzi to the show!
Lee (of Spider Shop fame) for allowing me to mercilessly torture him, you're a star...see you at Newark! lol
Colin...thanks so much...loved my spids, and as always much appreciated for being *the knight in shining armour*.

And general *big loves* to anyone who is feeling left out!! xxxxxxxxxxx

      THANKS AGAIN BTS!!

LMAO Oli...yeah mysterious looking critters eh?!! I thought they'd fit with the type of collection you have, what with them being arboreal.

I got so many lovely spids yesterday...and then got munched by a smartass Vulpinus who doubled back from the lid of the container to bite my hand several times from thumb to index finger. Very ironic after I'd spent hours re-potting Blondi's, Pamphobeteus, etc without any issues at all. lol

If they get any more credit for this show, they'll be holding another one next year Lou

Glad you like them! And how could you miss a lady in fishnet? Just kidding...I did have a floor length leather coat on too...so it would have covered the *rear view*!! lol

Store the hug up for the next show you're at, and I'll collect it then.

LOL LOL LOL!! Colin...yeah..at least...I THINK I was clothed under that coat! Forgot my jellybabies though!! hehehe
My girls think you're great, Merly was over the moon to catch more hugs from you, she was rambling away happily in the car all the way home: *did you like the spiders Merly?*
Merly: *Yeah they were nice, but I got hugs from Uncle Colin and that made me sooooo happy!*...and she's just sending more in your direction at the moment and hopes that you have room in the fridge for them.

                        xxx

Thanks Kate, I agree! She is lovely and it is already clear that she is very good natured. have just got in from work and she has found her-self a comfy spot to 'chill'. Even let me take a pic or two without as much as 'batting an eyelid'! Bless.

Obviously i'm trying to do the "mergy thing" at the same time then Mark, i don't have the extra "God like" powers such as yourself so even just pressing the highlight box my computer threw a wobbly and gave up
