i'd sign it, even though i don't watch the show and long for the days the producers, cast, and everyone involved gets mauled to death by conventionally cute animals like puppies!

These pages have information about how to complain to the BBC, with links to the BBC’s Complaints Framework, the BBC’s regulator Ofcom and regular reports about complaints. Watch our short film to learn more about how the BBC responds to your feedback.

lets all complain here,

Point out that the BBC has a responsibility to EDUCATE people not just jump on the scaremongering bandwagon like The Sun.

Its a shame the BBC stopped doing programmes for people with an IQ of more than 10, they used to be quite good.

I actually found out about this airing a few days before it went out, and just new they would use a tarantula. I found out the compliant dept email address and was ready to fire of a scathing email to them....

Unfortunately I did not get round to sending off and have decided to wait until the fat taxi driver dies then send it!

I agree with RG the spider was a better actor than that Charlie bloke...

It does portray tarantula in bad light and I can see a big flux of unwanted deadly Chilean roses. Now that the mothers of numerous teenagers now wont have this killer in the house.

There were numerous other sp that could have been used that would have been more convincing...

Cheers
Mark

I still think the best way is to log onto the BBC website and e-mail a complaint there. I don't mind signing a letter as well.
Get those e-mails sent off Mark & Ray, done mine!

C'mon Chris, your spids will love you for it!

excuse me, but aren't you complaining about a fictional storyline? and one that most likely hasn't run its course?

excuse the abd language (text bubbles) but this was all i could find of the whole part

Moderators note...yes the language was a little on the harsh side for some of our younger viewers that may click the link unsupervised..i've replaced it with a shorter (just as funny) link...Colin

well the BBC know how to hit a raw nerve dont they... our matthew even rang me while i was walking back with my daughter from school about the chile rose in doctors this afternoon... I hope that little rosy is getting well paid!

Going to do my complaint now... not just about using tarantula's in the wrong context... but also for the CHEESY acting... even more than usual!

Do actors always act like they are kids playacting when tarantula's are around??? ***roll eyes***

Like hell am I going to do that. I couldn't really care about a spider being used in this programe, it's a pile of poo anyway.

If I was to complain about this then I would have to send letters, emails, parcels with poo in them etc etc etc to all the makers of those B movies that involve the use of some spider / insect / killer tomatoes etc pointing out that they aren't infact dangrous at all.

For me the TV/Films is just entertainment nothing more. Sure the entertainment maybe almost always crap but that is why I have an off button on my set.

I am actualy suprised this topic has even got such a responce.....then again , no I'm not.

All the best
Chris

P.S. So who now is going to boycot watching Eastenders because of this spider incident? Yep, I bet hardly any/if any of you do, because you just can't wait to find out if Phil beats up Ricky for getting Sharon a larger and lime instead of an orange juice!

Well, Charlie actually had a panic attack and wasn't bitten at all!!! And someone (an arachnophile) even offered £100 for the deadly Chile Rose. Should have gone to the spider shop instead and saved himeself a boat load of money.

" Are you some sort of Arachnoplile............the spider equvalent of a Paedophile"
