Cheers for your replies Mark and Pete, i think i'm gonna dig all my art equipment back out and see if i've still got it!! Its been a while.

My partner is also thinking of entering the art competition but would she have to be a member or is the fact that i'm a member sufficient?

Also, can you enter more than 1 competition 'cause i was thinking of bringing a spider along aswell??

    Rob.

You may enter as many spiders as you like in as many catergories has you like.

Also you dont have to be a member to enter but after all we run the Exhibition and Society for you guys so in the spirit of things it would be nice if you were.

Any questions you have please post them up and I will answer them.

        Rich,

A suitable display tub is really just something that is clear on all sides and the spider has some room to manouvre if it wants to/needs to.

If you are concerned about moving one on the day, I or one or the other Committee members "on duty" at that time should be able to give you a hand. Please be patient though - if there are loads of people putting their spiders into the competition when you get there, you might have to wait a bit until one of us is free.

          Rob,

Technically, you DO have to be a member to enter the competition (rules to be published in the forthcoming Journal). However, if it's your partner, child, etc. the Judges have, in the past, accepted the picture, spider or whatever the competition entry is.

So, I'd say go ahead and get your partner to come up with something too.
Just so long as if she wins and you only get third, it doesn't cause a domestic......!!

Thats sound that is Pete. Cheers mate.
Guaranteed she will come above me but it'd be pointless getting into a domestic.....She'd only win that aswell...
