i'll second that colin. as a club we do mini beast road shows, for which we get very busy. we do mainly school fetes and also do educational lessons for schools and cub/scout groups etc, we are also the group that farming world in faversham use for all their creepy crawly type stuff. the main purpose of our shows is education. as well as tarantulas, we take scorpions, snakes, lizards, bugs n beetles, a small amount of amphibians plus lots more. we get alot of children and adults alike ask lots of questions in various areas of the hobby and it is really satisfying to educate people. we also cure people of phobias of spiders and snakes, for which we have a 100% success rate. i salute any person that puts to bed all the myths and mis-interpreted facts surrounding these beautiful and fascinating creatures.

I wouldn't mind a keyring too, but if these are only available at the BTS Show, then I think that is a bit of a poor thing.

All the BTS merchandise can be ordered through Martin and is NOT just sold at the show, lectures and AES. We launch new ranges at the BTS expo thats all, they can be bought all year round via Martin.

We have not put them online as I explianed before, as stocks are hard to keep track of with them going from one committee member to other depending on what any one of us is doing at the time. Until I can get Martin to use the stores back end, this will be the case.

When we had the shirts online these went well and then stock levels suggested we had sizes and colours that where not there as they had been sold at the AES show. So we had the task of contacting people and telling there are sold out and news ones be around til May the following year. I don't want to be doing that again.....

Unfortunatly both Mart and myself work long hours and have busy lives. So things take time.

And just because I was posting during through the day on a Wednesday doesn't mean I don't work hard and have a busy life too I was just grabbing a few spare minutes whilst the screamy child was asleep and I'm only off today as its my turn to work a Saturday

Just a quick thought, regarding the t-shirts and size availabilities. How about setting up an eBay shop? That was, the actual amount and sizes available would be on offer. I'm not sure of the time, effort and logistics involved though. Like I say, it's just a quick thought.

All i can say to this is "excellent!!"
Educating the unaware and the ignorant so they understand and respect should be second thing on our list after maintaining correct husbandry for our arachnids

You would be surprise the amount of people that think we do this full time and get paid ! So I was just explaining how things can take time. Not in anyway suggesting you don't work or have a life too OK.

Yes the ebay idea is not that bad an idea I will suggest this to Martin, this could help clear up old stock and end of line stuff too.
