Hope you enjoy your new sling , it's got to belong to one of my favourite genus . I also hope you see it a bit more often than I see mine , as they can take to hiding when not hungry . Be careful when potting up as like all arboreal slings , they are quite quick .

I just hope she goes into her container easy, I don't want her to run for it as i know they are fast as hell. I'm abit nervous but hey i got to learn sometime.

You should be fine , just do it in an open area . The bath is usually favourite and just have a clear plastic cup handy (preferably one of those disposable ones as they are lighter and less likely to cause an injury) and pop it over the sling whenn it's come to rest .

As i don't have space for a spider room my t's are in tanks in my living room with heat mats and stats. My little spiderling has come and i've had no problem getting her into the container, she looks so small in the container i was going to use so i moved to a smaller one. I am keeping my spiderling in this critter keeper below with the container inside it and a heat mat and stat on the critter keeper but i have a question. If i put a thermometer and the mat stat probe at the front of the c keeper it reads 77f and dont go any higher but if i put the probe at the back closer to the heatmat the mat stat stays on until 84f and turns off. Do i need a higher wattage mat or do i just put the spiderling container at the back closer to the matt.

              Hi Steven

It will be cooler at the front because your heat will be escaping through the lid of the pet pal, i would leave the small pot where it is because it will be at a midway temp between 77 & 84, try resting the probe on the lid of the small container this will give you a more accurate reading of the temp in the pot.
