I saw a couple today up for £125, not even fully grown. I could get a discount on that if anyone's interested but I'm not sure I'd be happy about sending such an expensive tarantula through the post.

the issue i'm finding at the moment is as stated above, they are being sold too often as females when in truth they are males and the worst thing is you usually dont find out till you get the spider home. the last 2 i bought where advertised as female and i've sexed them both as males since.

i negoiated as regards getting a female when i did get it the first thing i looked for was the bump on the underneath of the abdomen(epigastric furrow) it was jutting out a good quarter inch and defo not part of its leg .it was in a standing position in a large deli cup wich helped.apparently this was out of 35 blondis at said warehouse/stockist

its not a bump you look for andrew its the epiandrous fusillae, just above the epigastric furrow between the proximal pair of book lungs, only males have these.

sorry got my wording mixed up there my fault.ok usually when ventral sexing a female blondi has a marking between the top two pair of booklungs of a belt or line.compared to the male who has a small but perfect triangle in the same place.as i was able to see the t from the side i could clearly see the sex was defined by the presence of a flap of skin(forgot name) protruding from the underneath of abdomen at sidewards view.identical to the previous blondi i had.w/c from hollybush wich was blatantly obvious female at 9inch!

                  Jumping Blondis?

Id just like to add that my own T Blondi matilda [ 10" female ] is the laziest bugger ive ever owned...she rarely moves out of her burrow and the idea of her hanging from the ceiling is ridiculous...she will venture out maybe once a day for a stretch and that's it. it does annoy me how the english language is being stripped down to "text" speak.....if you cant write in proper english DONT BOTHER AT ALL. GRRRRRRR
all those moments will be lost in time.....like tears........in rain
