Hi All,
Nice to meet you all. My Name is Steve. I am a volunteer contacting you on behalf of Sue who is the founder of South Essex Wildlife Hospital, a registered veterinary charity that deals with sick, injured and orphaned wildlife.
One of our policies is that we will not turn any animal away if it is in need of somewhere immediate to stay and the other option is euthanasia, with a view to seeking a suitable permanent home ASAP. As a result we recieve many domestic and exotic animals in need of knowledgeable, caring, permanent homes.
Over Christmas we recieved just under 30 tarantulas that are urgently in need of new homes. Sue is very arachnophobic (and i'm not to enamoured to be honest) but our policy stands, we don't turn anything away. They look to be in good shape but need to be suitably re-homed soon so Sue can sleep at night again without the nightmares. I always seek out communities of people who know their stuff when re-homing so here I am.
I have a list of the species (along with a couple of unlabelled mystery sp.) but before I get started I thought as I am brand new I would check that a) this is the correct place on the forum to be discussing this and b) I am not breaking any other rules I may have missed. Once I get the OK or am redirected to the suitable area I will elaborate.
Cheers,
Steve
