    Well i'm glad i read this, i have been feeding locusts to Lola for ages. I guess i have just been lucky by the sounds of it. WIll be crickets from now on.

    Any news Wendy, how is she doing now? x

      She's a lot worse Three of her legs are folded up tight against her body and she's stopped using them. The others just flail at the ground and she is immobile. I'm giving it until next week but I think we might have to euthanase her

              No - she just flails in the substrates but she doesn't go anywhere at all. Just churns up the substrate around her a bit, and then subsides. It's terrible to see..... she panics whenever she senses anything at all, but can't do anything except waggle her legs around.

                Well you know you have done everything you can for her.

                Lets hope she makes a recovery but it doesnt look good

                  I've never experienced this in any of my own collection but i've had friends who have and i've seen it with thiers.

                  I've known of spiders that have moulted out and been fine afterwards and we are all keeping our fingers crossed for you and gussie.

                  I've noticed a bit of a pattern with cases of "DKS" they all seem to occur strait after a moult, i've also heard that excessive Fluride levels in tap water may be a cause.
