I would love to go but its too far and I dont have anyone to look after all the critters (dogs, parrots and ferret).

It would have been nice to see so many different T's and equipment used but also to meet some of you that have been so helpful and encouraging.

Do they ever have an exhibition in Scotland?

Ive hurt my back ( bulging disc !! ) , and now dont think ill be up to making the journey there !

Absolutely gutted , ive been trying to save money for a few T`s ive been after , and was hoping to pick some up at the show !

Now im off work , for god knows how long so ive gotta be carefull with money

Hi everyone lets answer some questions.

If you are entering any of the competitions then we have the following catergories:
Best Brachypelma species.
Best New World Terrsetrial
Best New World Arboreal
Best Asian Terrestrial
Best Asian Arboreal
Best African
Best Scorpion
Best Artwork (adult)
Best Artwork (child up to 14

From these we choose a Best In Show.

Please please please enter some artwork and kids get drawing or even making spiders..its all art. One year we had a tattoo entered.

1) Spiders should be displayed in clear plastic or glass tanks with no substrate.
2) Your name should not be displayed on the tank. You will be given a ticket, this will be your proof of ownership.
3) You must be a paid up BTS member
4) The species and catergory should be clearly displayed.
5) Spiders can only be collected between 4.00 and 4.30 (they will be secure)
6) Prizes will be awarded in the Large Hall at 3.00.
7) Photopgraphs can be mounted or unmounted, black and white or coloured. Again only the species name should be displayed.

On entry to the exhibition you will see the signs for the exhibtion. Pete Kirk will be on hand to recieve them from you. You have until 12.30 to get them in.

I know it says not to put your name on the label, but last year i didn't, and i was told to do it when i handed my spider over to show??

Also don't remember being given a ticket for either of mine.

That may have been an oversight but the ticket proves your ownership. If you are not given a ticket make sure you ask Peter Kirk for one.

We used nto put owners names on but we get accused of "old pals" acts when someone we know wins. Sad I know but some take the competition very serious.

If your name is on the tank we will still accept the spider, its all a bit of fun really and we try to make everyone welcome.
