I have to lose a couple of stones in weight through health problems, anyway, I asked if I could do a sponsored slim and raise funds for The BTS, the committee said yes, thanks guys and gals.
So, I am starting in new year and carrying on till May, when sponsorship can be collected and given to Angela at show.

Mark Pennell has said what it is for, maybe you could come in at this point and explain please Mark.

No amount is too small, but please wait till May when I will collect.

Hi just to mention that Mary wanted to raise funds for the BTS and I thought that what she is proposing is perfect for the new Murphy/Baerg grant this new initiative is a member funded project and is to compliment the BTS Research grant.

However this grant is not annual but will be given out when funds have been raised to the agreed amount. This could mean we give this grant out every 5 or 6 years or 5 or 6 times a year, depending on what members can raise or donate.

Where as the overseas research grant is for as explained here
This grant will be awarded to anyone in any part of the world who is doing research into Theraphosidae or related kin.

In the new year full details will be posted up explaining all about this new fund!.

think you've already got the donation market covered on the boards though
but losing weight to help out the spiders would be a noble cause indeed, might keep me going to the gym and eating sensibly for a bit longer than usual!

walking is good! i do a fair bit of that. the gym's alright, though...just kinda annoying and it takes ages to see results (at least the way i eat)
