well i've had P imperator's climbing the glass while i've been playing guitar and watching me. i took it as a compliment
we should all do research on our respective styles of music and see what happens
though to be honest, my old dog never cared two figs for whatever i was playing...so it'd be hard to imagine arachnids being particularly musically minded. however, you never know!

Peter, that post was classic! LOL

      Hi Rich
I'd steer clear of Finance Directing if I was you I spent to many years of my life wasted on that career path working up through credit control then credit management a bit of credit underwriting and on to the dizzy heights of FD but i must have been made redundant on four or five of them. It has very little job security lin the ong run if you want to go into finance become an accountant instead. At least you can go self employed if the worst happens
Thats why at the grand old age of 42 I am half way through completing another degree Bsc(hons)ICT a career change seemed like a good idea

sorry back to topic Loud bass will effect my "T" she will wander round her viv looking for the source of the vibrations ie black sabbath or iron maiden but will take no notice of music without a heavy bass line

definately needs researching what frequency upsets them

Kl wid what you you said about the music.
I wasn't exactly thinking when stating my ambition in finance, so I'm sorry about the terminology I used; what I should've and meant to have said was that I may look into doing something involving business and Enterprise, not finance directing however, and at least now I know not to even consider it, and that it totally sucks!

How about a syncronised waltz? If you feed all your T's at exactly the same time, with the right music, will they all do their 'dinner dance' together? And, the question of the day....... do they all 'dinner dance' in the same direction, or do they go the other way in Australia?

I could see lol and that is why I'm not going to try and make sense of what was said! I understand he said sumin about Black Sabbath, but I dunno anything about music from those days and I only know that Ozzy was the lead vocal of that band (I think; so I shouldn't really have said I 'know'!); I'm youth! It's all about HipHop, RnB, Dance, Soul, Reggae, bashment, old-school garage, but I like some older rock and Linkin Park too. Alice Cooper is a decent artist!

I've done my own little experiment and come up with the following:

                    1) Led Zeppelin - Most of my tarantulas loved this and came out to play

                    2) Alanis Morrisette - Put one of her CD's on and they ran for their lives!

                    3) Visage - No response from my tarantulas but all the crickets in the tanks started chirping!

Conclusion: The best music is early 1980's "New Romantic" music. It doesn't disturb the spiders and brings all the crickets out, making them easier to catch.

'The dinner dance' as I call it must have an official name. When my T's grab their crickets they walk backwards and forwards and turn circles, before eating them.

Yep good work Nicola but I am never ever playing that music!
I don't care to much about catching crickets, it is really simple, you just grab them as fast as poss while retaining carefulness. I stuck my finger in their hide, and one bit me! It didn't hurt, but I was surprised and swung my finger, and I realized it landed just a few centimetres away from the tank!
