Whatya mean Leon??? Bloomin cheek, you wait til next year, haha. Great show as always, thanks Ray and Angela. It was nice to mjust wander round and gas this year for a change. So much for no spiders, I gave Angela my last 2 irminias from my last sac, and within the hour I had discovered Les Fox had some Paras that were from my last sac and my Button and Noel, well, I just had to have one, so it resides in the living room.

I came up from Devon with my little boy and made a weekend of it. And what a weekend it was! Sunday was (despite the heat and hoardes of people) fantastic! Came home with a b.albopilosa for Charlie and thanks to "the black table" (Charlies words, not mine - he means Michael!) finally got my much wanted g.pulchra sling! Both got home unharmed on the train. Nothing starts a conversation on a train than sitting with your son pointing at an innocent looking tub loudly saying "can i look at my tarantula now?".....Neither got too warm as i kept them in the shade thanks to a napkin tent. Will be rehoming tomorrow and feeding wednesday and see how we get on.
It was nice to be able to get a proper look at things once the main crowds started drifting off, and really have a proper look about. It really was an brilliant day and only served to feed my lust for more t's to join my little family. Thank you so much everyone for the very warm welcome we got. Charlie has done nothing but talk about it ever since and i can't see him stopping anytime soon! He certainly pestered a few of you but instead of being shushed like kids often are, people really listened to him. Thank you!
We will definately be up again next year!!

thanks to Ray, Angela and all else who made this year's show so amazing. i had a great time...and Peter, despite my bravado (which i hope you know wasn't serious) i wasn't too upset about my (clearly the best) minax not winning
but seriously, the animals, photos and artwork that won were entered were amazing no matter who won. it was great seeing them all and congrats to Mr Lacey in particular for the double win on his klugi, as well as to all the other winners!
special thanks go to Peter for the lift up there! Jackie and i had a brilliant time and was great company.
i got some great animals, and for once didn't have to think too hard about restraint and self control.
seeing everyone was brilliant and the best aspect as always, though some good friends were missing and you never have enough time to talk to everyone properly!
i missed the lecture sadly, but consoled myself that i'd heard it at the lectures in February.
thanks again Ray and Angela for organising such a brilliant show! roll on next year!Returning violence for violence multiplies violence, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars... Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that.

I feel I must post up about the after events of the show.
First of all the show was great success on all accounts. For my 17th show I was pleased with the turn out and the feed back There seemed to be little trouble to relate. However after a long and extremely unpleasant phone call from a disgruntled trader (on a Bank Holiday Monday) I have to seriously consider my role in next years event.
I get heartily sick of people moaning about an event that I organise for them. Not for me! I can well do without being told my self and Angela are rude, arrogant and uncaring. Personally I can take such criticism I am old enough and ugly enough but when it upsets Angela and ruins our day then I have to question any future involvement. I know most of you support us and our work. This shows from you wonderful posts and for this we both thank you from the bottom of hearts. Please continue to support the BTS. I am going to go away and give this all some thought.

Ray and Angela.
It was my first bts show and won't be my last.
You are not at all rude and made me feel welcome and as did Colin even after god knows how many posts.
I like your down to earth manner and you do a great job.
And I bet there will be more saying the same.
If the seller didn't like it then there's another seller to take his place it's the buyers that count at the end of the day that are happy and want to come again.... like my self and Mandie that you welcomed in person.
Very Best Wishes.
John & Mandie.

I feel I have to post in support of Ray and Ang.
The bottom line is that without their hard work and dedication (for which they receive no financial restitution I might add) the Exhibition simply would not take place. Their work on the Exhibition starts literally he day after the last one finishes and involves numerous trips from Eastbourne, where they live, to Wolverhampton where the Exhibition takes place. I really don't think many people realise quite how much of their own personal time is taken up with this.
To then be accused of being rude and arrogant is a particular slap in the face in my opinion. Ray and Angela work non-stop from around 7am on the day of the Exhibition, and that doesn't include putting out the tables the day before, along with the rest of the Committee and their team of dedicated helpers who also give up a significant amunt of their own time to ensure that the day is a success.
I am not entirely certain what this individual's "hidden agenda" is - but there is most definitely one there. To complain it was hot (on one of the hottest weekends of the year so far) - well, durr!!
As things stand at this moment in time, whether the Exhibition for 2011 will go ahead is in jeopardy. Whatever Ray decides to do I am in support 100%.sigpic
