Did any of you happen to see the M. balfouri that Lee at the Spider Shop had? Is it as gorgeous as the photo's I've seen?
Elaine
Yes though it was not lees I saw an adult felmale who is porb the mum of the slings lee was selling she was stunning nothing at all like what you would expect a T of that sort to look like though.
nice beige / white carapice and blue legs and abdermon as expected the startling thing was as shes a baboon I was expecting her to be built more like all the other baboon types stocky and well built but she was more like a colbolt blue or even to some level an apponoplema sp.

I managed to stick fairly closely to my original shopping list:
5 x Poecilotheria fasciata
3 x Avicularia versicolour
1 x Aphonopelma bicoloratum
1 x Brachypelma albopilosum
and a couple of mantids:
1 x Idolomantis diabolica
1 x Tenodera aridifolia sinensis
I have to say I preferred the old venue, but that may be partly because of the train drivers being on strike - the £20 cab fare each way to and from Birmingham New Street stung quite a bit.

Could be, if the ones Lee's selling now aren't from the same batch as the ones he was selling originally.
Either way, the ones on his table at the show were certainly nice spiders

Depends on the size you bought it. If it is a spiderling keep it in film pot or plastic tub whatever suits it and keep it as any other sling. As far as larger ones such as subadults and adults they can be kept in plastic pet pals the medium sized pretty much throughout there lives.
Use whatever substrate mix you prefer and keep them at a temp
of 21C-28C and a humidity of 60/80 but 65-70 is usually just right as they dont need high humidity. Really they can be kept near like a chile rose but just a tab more humidity and thats about it really. They like to burrow so deep substrate

They look great, but after the heart attacks i,ve nearly had today, and the new change of clothes, i am now thinking of swapping everything for a nice quiet hamster.!
I forgot, I also got 3 C fimbriatus slings free with my Pokie.
